Your Graduation Documents

Information for students graduating in absentia 31 July 2020

Due to COVID-19 students will be graduating in absentia for the July Graduation. Student Central has made several changes in the way physical graduation documents may be purchased.
 

From Friday 24 July to 4pm Thursday 30 July students graduating in absentia on 31 July 2020 can pre-order physical copies of your Transcript and AHEGS via your ISIS account.

Purchasing Graduation Documents

-What documents will I get free of charge when I graduate?

A physical copy of your Testamur will be posted to your mailing address on ISIS by the Graduation Office in September.
 
You will also receive a digital copy of the following documents through the online platform My eQuals shortly after your graduation ceremony:
  • Testamur: the formal certificate of your award and includes the University seal and signatures of the ANU Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor
  • Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS): an official statement describing your award, ANU and the Australian higher education system
  • Academic Transcript: an official record of your complete enrolment at ANU and includes all courses and grades, your grade point average and program status

 

-How can I pre-order physical copies of my Academic Transcript and/or AHEGS?

From Friday 24 July - 4pm Thursday 30 July you can pre-order physical copies of your Transcript and AHEGS via your ISIS account.
 
There are two options for pre-ordering physical copies of your AHEGS and Transcript when you graduate:
 

Option 1: Pre-order documents to be posted to your mailing address on ISIS

Choose this option to have physical copies of your AHEGS and/or Transcript posted to the mailing address on your ISIS account from Monday 3 August.

Orders within Australia will be posted by Australia Post Express Post. International orders will be posted by DHL. You will be sent a tracking number via email when your documents are sent. 

 You must ensure that your MAILING ADDRESS is correct on ISIS as this is where your documents will be posted. Refunds will not be issued to those who have not checked or updated their mailing address and have the documents posted to an incorrect address.

OR

Option 2: Pre-order documents to collect by appointment on campus

Choose this option to collect physical copies of your AHEGS and/or Transcript in person.

These documents will be available for collection from 17 August 2020 by appointment only. Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, you will be required to make an appointment to collect your documents. Student Central will email you via your ANU email account on Monday 10 August with a link to book in for an appointment time.

To comply with social distancing you may not attend with other people, however you can collect documents for other students with their written consent.  

 

-Instructions for pre-ordering physical copies of your Transcript and AHEGS

Transcripts for any graduates will not be printed or posted until after 31 July. This is to ensure that the document states that you have been awarded. If it is printed before the 31 July it will only state that you have completed the degree.
To purchase please follow the instructions below:
  • ISIS > Account Details > Misc Purchases
  • Select Semester/Sessions and select 3030 (Semester 1 2020).
  • Click on the magnifying glass for the list of purchases to show.
  • You can then request which purchase you wish to make.
  • Select your purchases and then click the 'Add' button.
  • Once you have finished then click the Pay for Misc Purchases button.

-How can I purchase physical copies of my Academic Transcript and/or AHEGS in the future?

Student Central should be able to offer regular printing of physical transcripts and AHEGS purchases from the end of August. This is dependent on COVID-19 social distancing requirements, so please check the Purchase an Academic Transcript page for further information.
 
 

-Confirming your degree program before you graduate

If you are due to graduate at the next ceremony and need a document to confirm information about your degree program before you graduate then you may request a completion letter from your Academic College.

-Completion Letter

A Completion Letter is a document letter that confirms the following information:
  • your completion of the requirements to be awarded your degree program
  • the degree program was conducted and examined in English
  • commencement and completion dates
  • that you will be eligible to graduate at the next graduation ceremony

You can request a copy of your Completion Letter from your Academic College after grade release.
