Out of Session Conferral of Award

Students who have completed all program requirements can confer their ANU award/s outside of the July and December graduation sessions; this process is referred to as Out of Session Conferral of Award. 

To have an award conferred out of session, students must:

1. have no outstanding or interim course grades;

2. have no outstanding obligations to the University.

There are no costs associated with conferring an award out of session.  Testamur/s will be posted to your nominated mailing address (domestic or international). 

**Please note: Out of Session Conferrals only take place at certain times of the year. February through to May and September through to October**

Applying for an Out of Session Conferral of Award

Step One

Download a copy of your statement of results via ISIS to confirm that all course grades have been finalised (if all grades are not finalised, please contact your ANU College before proceeding to Step Two).

Step Two

Complete the Application for Out of Session Conferral form (available in Reference documents on this page) . 

Step Three

Email the completed form to graduation.officer@anu.edu.au.

Step Four

You will recieve email confirmation from the Graduations Office acknowledging your application has been lodged.

Step Five

The approval process and production of documents (both hardcopy and electronic) generally takes 3 - 6 weeks.

Step Six

Congratulations! You have been conferred. The Graduations Office will notify you via email when the process is complete, your hardcopy testamur has been posted, and your digital documents (Testamur, Academic Transcript and Australian Higher Education Gradaution Statement) are accessible via My eQuals.
