75th Anniversary closing ceremony

Watch the recording of the 75th Anniversary closing ceremony on the ANU TV YouTube channel

The University will come together to celebrate our 75th Anniversary closing ceremony. Join Chancellor The Hon Julie Bishop, Vice-Chancellor Professor Brian P. Schmidt and ANU community as we mark this momentous journey, as we honour our past, celebrate our present and make our future.

The closing ceremony will feature a special Welcome to Country from our local custodians involving a didgeridoo piece, followed by a performance from Tobias Cole and Chamber Choir from ANU School of Music.

Finally, the event will conclude with a time capsule sealing ceremony where each selected item will serve to capture the essence of ANU life and learning in its 75-year history. The capsule will be carefully preserved and stored in the University's archives before it is uncovered in 2046 - marking our 100th Anniversary.

The event will be followed by afternoon tea.
