Dr Yujie Zhu

School of Archaeology & Anthropology

I am a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Heritage and Museum Studies at the ANU College of Arts and Social Science. Since 2013 I have taken an active role in School, College and Cross-college committees and have significantly contributed to achieve ANU's vision of delivering research and teaching excellence as a world-leading national university.

My enthusiasm to serve on the Academic Board is based on my work experience in two colleges: CAP (2013-2016) and CASS (2017-Present). The cross-college experience allows me to assist in developing university governance and institutional strategies that generate networks, capacity and resources that will enable inclusive and collaborative initiatives for the interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary initiatives on research and education.

If elected to represent CASS, I will advocate for the fundamental role of the social science and humanities in our society in urging recovery and resilience-building during the current challenging times. I am keen to assist in development and governance of university policy to facilitate knowledge transfer and public engagement for capacity building and institutional partnerships, especially within GLAM sectors (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums).
