ANU is committed to keeping staff informed and engaged by providing timely, clear and accessible information to help our staff prepare for and participate in change.
This page provides a summary of anticipated organisational change activity under the Renew ANU Change Principles Implementation Plan.
It will be updated regularly to reflect key milestones, decisions and the release of formal change proposals as planning continues.
We appreciate that change can be difficult. Help is available if you need it.
Staff and their family members can access free support and counselling through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which can be reached on 1800 808 374 (this number operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week).

Q2 2025 - Expected change proposals
Subject to approval, the following areas are expected to release formal organisational change proposals in June 2025:
- Information Technology Services and Information Security Office
- Planning and Service Performance
- Academic Portfolio
- Research and Innovation Portfolio
- ANU College of Science
- ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences
Q3 2025 - Areas contemplating change
The following areas are currently considering organisational change activity in Q3.
Consideration of change may not lead to formal change proposals in every case and updates will be provided as planning progresses and formal change requirements become clearer.

Q4 2025 - Conclusion of 2025 proposals
In line with the University's commitment to deliver this phase of change, it is anticipated that no organisational change proposals will be released beyond 30 September 2025 for this year.
It is not known at this stage if formal organisational change will be required in 2026.
