December 2023 Graduation Ceremonies

Completing an award at ANU is a significant academic achievement and is rightly celebrated at the University's prestigious Conferring of Awards ceremonies. Conferring of Awards ceremonies are happy, inspiring events that have both formal and symbolic significance.

Each ceremony is conducted at Llewellyn Hall, runs for approximately two hours and is followed by a reception.

McCusker Prize in Humanitarian Engineering

Humanitarian engineering at the ANU encompasses the use of engineering and/or technology from disaster response and risk reduction through to long-term development, both in Australia and overseas, with the aim of improving quality of life and human wellbeing for all.

Optiver Prize

The objective of the prize is to encourage and reward the outstanding performance of the student who receives the best result (as shown by the award of the highest mark) in the course Algorithms COMP3600/ COMP6466 (taken together as one cohort).

The value of the prize awarded is $1000The prize will be on offer from 2023 to 2027.

Funding for this prize has been provided by Optiver Pty Limited.

Minter Ellison Prize for Foundations of Australian Law

The objective of the prize is to recognise the student(s) who has demonstrated a high level of academic excellence through being awarded the highest result in LAWS1201/LAWS6101 Foundations of Australian Law at the ANU College of Law.

The value of the prize/s awarded is $500. If two or more students achieve the same top mark, the prize awarded in that year shall be divided equally between them.

The prize will be on offer annually unless otherwise advised.

ACT Government Office of International Engagement Prize

The objective of the prize is to award a student or group of students who achieved the best result as selected by the Judging Panel led by the course convenor in the annual ANU International Business Plan Competition in BUSI3024 Export Business Planning and MKTG7035 Global Marketing.

The value of the prize/s awarded is $2,000.

The prize will be on offer from 2023 to 2025.

Funding for this prize has been provided by ACT Government Office of International Engagement.
