Vinnies and ANU+ Sleepout

Join the 2022 Vinnies and ANU+ Sleepout to raise funds for those in need in the local community!

Students and staff will sleep on Chifley Meadows for one of the coldest and longest nights of the year to support the many young Australians who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Each individual or team will raise money that will go to Vinnies. 

The sleepout will kick off on Wednesday, 17th August 2022, in the ground floor of the Marie Reay Teaching Building at 5:30pm with a panel discussion entitled "Homelessness and housing pressure: a barrier to tertiary education". All are welcome to attend-check back soon for more information! 

How to get involved:

1.       Form a team and nominate a team leader 

2.       Team leader: email anuplus@anu.edu.au the names, email addresses and U numbers of your team members 

3.       Press "start fundraising" and follow the prompts 

4.       Share your URL to fundraise!

5.       Come to Marie Reay at 5:30 for the panel and sleepout. 

On the night:

·         5:30-6:30 pm - Panel discussion, "Homelessness and housing pressure: a barrier to tertiary education". Ground floor, Marie Reay. Check back soon for more information about this! 

·         6:30-7:00 pm - Walk over to Community Connect (Copland Building). Participants will be given points to spend on food supplies. 

·         7:00 pm - 7:00 am - Sleep out at Chifley Meadows. Each team will be provided with some cardboard and guidance from the team on where is best to sleep.
