O-Week Feast of Strangers

Feast of strangers is a feast with a twist. Instead of a menu of food, you are given a menu of questions to discuss with other ANU students.

At the beginning of the event, the Thrive team will split attendees into small groups where you will have the opportunity to meet and get to know other student at ANU . To remove the awkwardness of meeting new people, we will provide each group with a Menu of Questions. The menu will include different questions and talking prompts to spark conversation and connection.

During the feast, you will have an opportunity to get a sneak peak at the upcoming Community Goods project, which will facilitate a food pantry, Share the Dignity vending machine, chill out space, drop ins and more. We will have a pop-up pantry at the event where you will be able to select a few food items to take home with you.

This is a great opportunity to connect with new students, check out the upcoming Community Goods, and meet the Thrive team. Come alone, or bring a friend, but registration is compulsory.

COVID safety measures are being put in place to reduce the spread of COVID. If you are sick or have recently been in contact with a known case, do not attend. This event may be postponed or moved online due to COVID precautions, attendees will be informed if any changes occur.

If you have any questions or special requirements contact the Thrive team thrive@anu.edu.au.
