Staff at the Tjabal Indigenous Higher Education Centre are here to help Indigenous students at ANU successfully navigate their university experience.

Anne Martin
Director
Anne is a Yuin woman from La Perouse, south-east of Sydney. As Director of the Tjabal Centre, her goal is to ensure all Indigenous students who come to ANU have the best possible chances of success. Fondly known as Aunty Anne, her motto is to "Keep students in the field of play."
Anne has been at the Tjabal Centre since 2012. She will always make time for students and is available via email, walk-in or booked appointments.

Andrew Coulter
Scholarship Program Manager
As the Scholarship Program Manager, Andrew oversees the suite of Indigenous scholarships offered by the University, including the Kambri Indigenous Undergraduate Scholarship.
Andrew is available via appointment or drop-in sessions to discuss any issues with your scholarship or to help identify any scholarships you may be eligible for.
Andrew has worked at ANU since 2005, focusing on administering coursework scholarships, with experience in student fees, and HDR scholarships and enrolments.

Cathleen Nansen
Centre Manager
Cathleen has worked at ANU for nine years, delivering student-service support to both Pacific Island and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Cathleen has been a part of the Tjabal community since 2015, working in recruitment, academic skills and student support. Cathleen now oversees and implements the Centre's operational administration and financial responsibilities, as well as providing staff and student pastoral care.
Currently working remotely, Cathleen is available through email, phone or Zoom/Teams to discuss any concerns or questions about the Tjabal Centre.

Dean O’Neil
Senior Community Engagement Officer
As the Community Engagement Officer Dean engages with Indigenous students in secondary school and manages the ANU National Indigenous Autumn and Summer schools. Dean also provides support to ANU students via the Indigenous Tutor Program.
Dean is a Larrakia traditional owner from Darwin working extensively in remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory. Dean has been with the ANU for over five years, initially in a philanthropic fundraising role, before joining the Tjabal team in 2024.

Georgia North
Academic and Student Support Officer
As the Tjabal Academic and Student Support Officer, Georgia provides support and advice to undergraduate and postgraduate students on a broad range of administrative and academic matters.
Located on the ground floor (upstairs) of the Tjabal Centre, Georgia is available for appointments and drop-in sessions to discuss your enrolment, course selection, timetabling, degree management and more.
Georgia has worked at ANU for five years, delivering client and student support in a range of administrative and College areas.

Ravana Saifoloi
Indigenous Tuition Programme Officer
Ravana is an ANU alumna, who graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing). She has worked for Student Equity in conjunction with Pasifika Australia at ANU during her time as a student. Currently, Ravana works as the Indigenous Tutor Program Coordinator for the Tjabal Centre; she has been in this role since 2018.
