Special Exam Arrangements

Special Exam Arrangements (SEAs) are offered to support students with a disability or medical condition by providing adjustments to the standard conditions under which exams are administered.

Access & Inclusion (A&I) will consider the nature of the student's disability or medical condition and make recommendations on the arrangements that would minimise the impact in the exam setting.

Exams may be run by the Examinations Office or the Academic College/s and they are responsible for implementing the arrangements.

Students are responsible for notifying A&I of the exam course code, course title, date of exam if the exam is being run by the Academic College/s to ensure their arrangements are in place. A&I will advise the the Academic College/s of the student's SEAs via email and will include the student in this correspondence.

Students will receive an email from the Exams Office or Academic College/s advising all the exam details with their SEAs included. If you do not receive an email within 3 business days of your exam then contact the Examinations Office to find out the location of your exam, their contact number is (02) 6125 3236 or email examinations.officer@anu.edu.au

If you have received your email from the Examinations Office and your SEAs are not outlined in there please email access.inclusion@anu.edu.au

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a valid Education Access Plan (EAP) in place with A&I at least two (2) weeks prior to examination periods.

The deadline to renew EAPs and request SEAs for 2020 are:

  • Semester 1:

New registrations after the deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
