The IPCC Synthesis Report: Key findings from this 7-year cycle

This month, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is scheduled to release its Synthesis Report, the final product from its last seven years of reporting. The report integrates all IPCC reports from the current cycle to provide a comprehensive understanding of climate change drivers, impacts, and adaptation and mitigation responses.

Join us at this event for an opportunity to hear directly from Australians involved in preparing and approving this report about its key findings, and the urgent action required to address the challenges and opportunities of climate change.

Speakers:

  • Professor Frank Jotzo, Head of Energy, ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions; IPCC Lead Author
  • Professor Malte Meinshausen, Professor in Climate Science, The University of Melbourne; IPCC Lead Author
  • Professor Mark Howden, Director, ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions; IPCC Vice-Chair, Working Group II
  • Mel Ford, Branch Head, National Inventory Systems and International Reporting, Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water

Supported by the Australian Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, this event is co-hosted by the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions and Melbourne Climate Futures.
