The ANU LGBTIQ+ Alumni Network's mission is to foster community among, and build stronger connections between, ANU LGBTIQ+ alumni and students, staff, faculty, parents, and straight allies. The Network will achieve this mission in a variety of ways, including sponsoring social and networking events on campus and around the world, participating in community service and student mentoring programs and serving as the voice of LGBTIQ+ alumni to the University.

The Network was launched by Chief Minister Andrew Barr at an event on 31 August 2018 - Wear it Purple Day. Chief Minster Barr is also the Network's inaugral patron, in recognition of his ongoing work in advancing LGBTIQ+ rights and inclusion in the ACT and Australia more broadly.

A calendar of events and opportunities is being developed for the Network's first years. You can stay connected with the Network and keep informed about its plans and activities by joining the Network's Facebook Group or emailing and asking to be added to the email list.
