Big dreams in the Big Apple

My name is Kelsey Davis, I graduated from The Australian National University (ANU) in 2014 and now, I live on the upper east side of New York City.

I work at a law firm here in New York, mostly on white-collar crime, investigations, securities, class actions and general contract disputes. ANU College of Law is well-known for being particularly challenging, and I believe the University's rigorous program really prepared me to take on these cases.

The amount of work you put in at ANU College of Law is reciprocated by the Professors. I remember in my second semester at ANU I asked my contracts tutor, Professor Pauline Bomball, a question that she didn't know the answer to.

When I came back to class the next day Pauline said, 'Kelsey, stay back after class, I've got the answer to your question."

That level of caring about the questions I asked, and caring about my intellectual curiosity, is something unique to ANU. It is what helped me stick with studying law and ultimately, led me to work in New York for one of the biggest law firms in the world.
