About this scholarship

 

The RSFAS VTara Honours Scholarship is donor funded scholarship which may be awarded to a student who has applied for, and has been accepted in an RSFAS Honours program in the year of scholarship offer.

The objective of the scholarship is to encourage students to pursue a full-time Honours program at RSFAS, while offering a unique practical learning experience through the opportunity to complete a paid internship with VTara Energy Group in India.

Eligibility

 

The award is available to a prospective ANU student who:

  • Is a domestic or international student;
  • is enrolled in an Honours program offered by the Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Statistics in the year of scholarship offer ;
  • has demonstrated interest in areas related to business finance, corporate finance, private equity, financial modelling and actuarial studies; and
  • can demonstrate the experience and / or knowledge necessary to deal with the potential difficulties of an overseas internship in a developing country.

Additional information

 

The scholarship is valued at $15,000 per annum. The award is paid in equal instalments at the beginning of each semester.

The recipient will be offered the opportunity to take up a practical learning experience through an internship with VTara Energy Group in India and a travel grant of $2,650 to assist with the cost of airfares, visas, travel insurance, vaccinations and day-to-day living expenses(paid once the recipient meets travel approval requirements).  Accommodation in India will be provided in-kind by VTara Group during the length of the industry experience.  Students will be paid directly by the VTara Group for their work during the industry experience.
