Rhonda and Sean Ryan Scholarship

The Rhonda and Sean Ryan Scholarship provides support to students planning to pursue Bachelor of Health Science, who are experiencing financial need and may not otherwise be able to attend the University.  Funding for this award has been provided by Rhonda and Sean Ryan who are both alumni of the ANU.  They created the award with the aim of providing financial support and educational opportunity to students who might otherwise be unable to attend the ANU.

The scholarship is held by one student at a time.  As such, the award may only be offered once every three to five years.

Field of study

Health Science

The award is available to a prospective ANU student who:

a)    is a domestic student;
b)    has not previously enrolled in any undergraduate degree program;
c)    receives an offer of admission to the Bachelor of Health Science;
d)    is eligible for financial hardship adjustment factors under the National Access Scheme.

The scholarship offers a stipend of $8,000 per annum paid in equal instalments for the duration of the program, up to five years (which could include Honours Year as well).

How to apply

All applicants applying for admission through the ANU Admission Scholarship and Accommodation Application System will be automatically considered for the award based on them meeting the eligibility criteria and electing to be considered for scholarships.

When you apply directly to ANU for admission as a domestic undergraduate student, you will have the opportunity to be considered for this opportunity within the same application. Other such support options are enlisted on the Direct application scholarships page.
