Overview

The Research School of Finance, Actuarial studies and Statistics (RSFAS) National University of Singapore Travel Scholarship may be awarded to a prospective student who is commencing the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Actuarial Studies and Economics degree.

The award will assist domestic or international students who have completed a Year 12 in Australia, an equivalent Year 12 (University Foundation program) in Australia or completed a Year 12 international equivalent qualification with the cost of their travel cost to Singapore in the first year of their program study at the National University of Singapore.

Eligibility

The award is available each year to a prospective ANU student who :

  • Is a domestic or an international student .
  • has completed a Year 12 qualification in Australia at an Australian High School (or College), an equivalent Year 12 (University Foundation program) in Australia or completed a Year 12 international equivalent qualification;  and

  • receives an offer of admission to the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Actuarial Studies offered by the RSFAS within the ANU College of Business and Economics.

Benefits

The scholarship is $10,000 per annum for one year. The award is paid in equal instalments ($5,000 per semester) at the beginning of each semester providing the recipient meets the ongoing scholarship eligibility of maintaining a weighted average mark (WAM) of 65% calculated across all courses taken in a semester

Please note: The Scholarship does not cover any necessary admissions and deposit fees, the payment of reading and study materials, living expenses, accommodation or any other costs associated with studying.

How to apply

There is no application as all students admitted to the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Actuarial Studies and Economics degree will be considered for the scholarship by the selection committee.

Students who have applied for admission to the ANU in a previous intake, and then formally deferred their offer may still be considered for this award along with the commencing cohort. These students will need to contact the College Scholarships Office to request consideration for the award.
