Research School of Accounting South East Asia Merit Scholarship


The Research School of Accounting ('RSA'), within the ANU College of Business and Economics, offers an award known as the Research School of Accounting South East Asia Merit Scholarship with the aim of  supporting RSA's commitment for diversification of international students in the South East Asia Region as identified by DFAT. The award acknowledges the quality of students from the South East Asia Region and aims to meet RSA's goal of attracting high quality students.

Field of study



The award is available each year to a prospective ANU student who:

  • is an international student
  • is a citizen of a country defined by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) as South East Asia;
  • has received an offer of admission to one of the following RSA programs:
    • Bachelor of Accounting (6 semesters)
    • Master of Accounting (4 semesters)
    • Master of Professional Accounting (3 semesters); and
  • has achieved at an excellent level in their final years of schooling or college, as determined by the CBE Selection Committee


The award will cover 50% of the ANU International Student Fee per semester, for the standard full time duration of the degree in which the student is enrolled in.

How to apply

Students who apply to study at the College of Business and Economics will automatically be considered for the College's scholarship program. Students are not required to undertake an additional application process for scholarships. 

Students commencing their studies in Semester 1 (February) 2020 who are successful for a scholarships will be notified via email by 2 October, 2019.
