Powell Memorial Scholarship

Overview

In 2022, the ANU School of Music ('the School'), College of Arts and Social Sciences ('the College') may offer an award known as the Powell Memorial Scholarship ('the Award').

The objective of the Award is to increase access, and provide opportunities for students undertaking undergraduate study at the School.

Funding for this Award has been provided by Tessa Ivison in memory of her partner Maxine Powell. Maxine was an alumna of the School of Music and remembered her time at the ANU and the school fondly.

Eligibility

The Award is available in 2022 to a prospective or current domestic ANU student who:

  • is an Australian citizen, permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa holder; and
  • receives an offer of admission to or is enrolled in an undergraduate program offered by the School; and
  • is experiencing financial hardship.

Benefits

$5000 per annum, for up to four years of study.
