ANU Alumna, Sheryle Moon, has pledged funding for a scholarship to support female students pursuing a Bachelor of Economics program at the Research School of Economics, ANU College of Business and Economics. Sheryle is a recognised practitioner, executive and coach (individual and organisation) in a diverse range of sectors including ICT, recruitment, retail, defence and government. She is a passionate advocate for the growth and career progression of women.
The objective of the award is to attract high calibre domestic female students who have completed a Year 12 qualification in Australia and are applying for admission to the University for the first time to enrol in the Bachelor of Economics program offered by the Research School of Economics.
Field of study
The award is available to a prospective ANU student who:
is an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen (or dual citizenship holders of either Australia or New Zealand) or Australian humanitarian visa holder;
is current school leaver in Australia at an Australian High School (or College);
is applying for admission to University for the first time;
identifies as female;
receives an offer for admission and will enrol in the Bachelor of Economics offered by the Research School of Economics at the ANU College of Business and Economics; and
receives a minimum ATAR of 95 (excluding adjustment factors).
The scholarship provides a stipend of A$5,000 per annum, paid in two equal instalments after Census Date of each semester of study.
The commitment is to support one student for the standard full-time duration (or part-time equivalent) of their Bachelor of Economics degree.
Please note: The Scholarship does not cover any necessary admissions and deposit fees, the payment of reading and study materials, living expenses, accommodation or any other costs associated with studying.
How to apply
All applicants applying for admission through the ANU Admission Scholarship and Accommodation Application System will be automatically considered for the award based on them meeting the eligibility criteria and electing to be considered for scholarships.
