Overview
The Fenner School of Environment & Society welcomes applications for the Fenner School National Arboretum Canberra Honours Scholarship. The scholarship has been established to enable young researchers and practitioners to undertake quality research based at the National Arboretum Canberra
Field of study
Eligibility
The scholarship shall be available for award each year to students who:
- hold Australian or New Zealand Citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency
- have been successful in gaining entry into the Honours year of a program of study through the Fenner School of Environment and Society; or have been successful in gaining entry to the Master's Dissertation in a program of study through the Fenner School of Environment and Society
- are intending to undertake research based at the National Arboretum Canberra, on a topic relevant to activities conducted by the National Arboretum Canberra
- have a strong academic record
- have willing and suitable supervision
Selection basis
The following criteria will be taken into account when making a decision:
- candidate's academic record
- relevance of candidate's research proposal to the scholarship criteria
- availability of suitable supervision
How to apply
Applications must include:
- a statement of no more than one page in length describing the intended research , its relevance to activities conducted by the National Arboretum Canberra and the motivation for undertaking research on this topic
- the applicant's academic record.
- name and contact details of the applicant's identified supervisor/s
- contact details for two academic referees familiar with the applicant's work
