Overview
Gravitational Wave and Space Instrumentation Honours scholarship is available to students who wish to pursue the Honours specialisation in Physics or Astronomy and Astrophysics and undertake an Honours research project in the area of Gravitational Waves and Space Instrumentation and Applied Metrology.
Field of Study
Honours in Physics or in Astronomy and Astrophysics, with a focus on Gravitational Wave and Space Instrumentation and Applied Metrology.
Eligibility
The scholarship will be available to a student who:
- is a domestic student;
- is eligible for admission to the Physics or Astronomy and Astrophysics Honours Specialisation; and
- has applied for the Physics or Astronomy and Astrophysics Honours Specialisation; and
- has an academic record with a Distinction average or above;
- receives an offer of admission to an Honours program in the Research School of Physics; and
- will undertake an Honours research project with a focus on Gravitational Wave and Space Instrumentation and Applied Metrology.
Benefits
A stipend of $10,000, paid for 1 year.

Applications for Semester 1 open on 1st October of the year prior to commencement
Applications for Semester 2 open on 1st April of the year of commencement
Applicants must provide the following documents:

- contact details of 3 referees
- a 1-page letter of research interest
