Overview
The ANU Region scholarship aims to reward academic excellence in secondary school studies, recognise involvement and leadership in school and community life in regional areas, and provide assistance with living costs and costs related to tertiary studies.
Field of study
Eligibility
- Applicant must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa.
- receives admission to an undergraduate degree program offered by the University.
- has been schooled in, and resided in a regional and rural area outside of the Canberra region. This excludes students from the immediate Canberra surrounds (postcodes 0200, 2600-2612, 2614-2620, 2900-2914). Universities Admission Centre (UAC) Education Access Scheme (EAS) Schools Lists will be used to award the scholarship;
Selection
Selection is made on the basis of applicants meeting all eligibility requirements set out above and allocated based on selection rank.
Benefits
5 years (maximum) Payments of $3,250 at the beginning of each semester.
How to apply
All applicants applying for admission through the ANU Admission Scholarship and Accommodation Application System will be automatically considered for the award based on them meeting the eligibility criteria and electing to be considered for scholarships.
