ANU Onshore International Scholarship

To support diversity of the student body and recruit high calibre international students, the ANU is offering a scholarship for international postgraduate students who have applied for admission through an ANU international onshore education agent, and will be commencing in an ANU postgraduate coursework program in S1 2020.

Field of study

Postgraduate Coursework study in the ANU Colleges of Arts & Social Sciences, Asia & the Pacific, Business & Economics, Engineering & Computer Science, Health & Medicine, Law, Science


The award will be available to a prospective ANU student who:

  1. currently resides in Australia as an onshore international student;
  2. is currently completing or has recently completed an undergraduate degree at an Australian institution;
  3. has applied for entry to a postgraduate program at ANU in Semester 1 2020, through an approved ANU onshore Education Agent (see list);
  4. has achieved a minimum ANU GPA of 5.5/7.0 (or equivalent)[1]in their undergraduate degree; and
  5. will enrol in a postgraduate program at ANU for the first time.

[1] ANU uses a 7-point Grade Point Average (GPA) scale. All qualifications submitted for admission at ANU will be converted to this common scale, which will determine if an applicant meets our published admission requirements. How to apply

There is no separate application process for this scholarship. Candidates must meet all program entry requirements (see Eligibility section above) to be considered for this scholarship. Candidates who meet all the program entry requirements will automatically be considered for this scholarship. 

Further information

The recipient will be guaranteed accommodation on campus for the first year of their postgraduate program.  Accommodation for the second year of study is not guaranteed. It is the recipient's responsibility to obtain and pay for residential accommodation for their second year of study.
