ANU College of Law International Pathway Scholarship


Each semester the ANU College of Law may offer an award known as the ANU College of Law International Pathway Scholarship with the aim of attracting and supporting top quality international postgraduate students to the ANU College of Law.

Field of study



The award is available each semester to a prospective ANU student who:

  • is an international student;
  • has graduated from a law program from one of the following Universities: University of Indonesia, University of Malaya, Thammasat Thailand or National Law School of India Bangalore;
  • has made an application for admission to the Master of Laws (LLM) program at the ANU College of Law;
  • has an excellent academic record as defined by a minimum GPA of 5.0 out of 7 or above.


Selection is made on the basis of academic merit. In the event where the highest academic records cannot be separated, applicants will be asked to submit a short written statement.


The scholarship is valued at $20,000 paid in one instalment, after the census date of the first semester of the postgraduate program, unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer.

How to apply

There is no application as students are automatically considered based on them meeting the eligibility criteria or conditions prescribed under the Eligibility section.

Summer admissions

  • Round 1: 1 November
  • Round 2: 1 December
  • Round 3: 1 January

Winter admissions

  • Round 1: 1 April
  • Round 2: 1 May
  • Round 3: 1 June

Spring admissions

  • Round 1: 1 Sept

All applications that are received before the round deadline, and meet the eligibility criteria or conditions prescribed in the Conditions of Award, will automatically be considered for this scholarship.

Letter of offers will be sent within 10 days after the round deadline. Only students who have been selected for this scholarship will receive a 'letter of offer'.

Applications who have not been selected in the first offer round (e.g. summer round 1) will be reassessed in the following offer round(s) for that admission period (e.g. summer round 2 and 3).

Please note the ANU College of Law has limited amounts of scholarships we can offer each year. Therefore, the College may not make offers in each offer round.
