ANU College of Engineering & Computer Science Advanced Computing Research & Development Female Excellence Scholarship


This scholarship is offered by the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science.

The Scholarship shall be available to an applicant who identifies as a woman and who:

  • Is an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.
  • Is entering university for the first time. Students transferring from other universities are not eligible.
  • Has applied for admission and will enrol into a single or Flexible Double Degree program of Bachelor of Advanced Computing (Research & Development) (Honours) offered by the College.
  • Has completed a Year 12 qualification in Australia. International Baccalaureate will also be considered.
  • Has achieved ANU Selection Rank of 99.0 or above


Selection is made on the basis of academic merit, but where multiple candidates have the same ANU Selection Rank, a specific and prioritised list of adjustment factors is provided to guide further selection


The scholarship is valued at $15,000 per annum for 3 years, with payments made after census date each semester.

Recipients will receive mentoring and career development support from College staff members and receive priority access to industry engagement opportunities.

How to apply

All applicants applying for admission to ANU through the direct Admission Scholarship and Accommodation Application will be automatically considered for the award based on them meeting the eligibility criteria and electing to be considered for scholarships.

If the merit list of ASA applicants is exhausted, UAC applicants may be considered.
