ANU College of Business & Economics Postgraduate Scholarship for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders
Each year the ANU College of Business and Economics offers the ANU College of Business and Economics Postgraduate Scholarship for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to provide encouragement and support to Indigenous students undertaking postgraduate studies by removing the financial burden of tuition fees.
Field of study
Postgraduate coursework programs offered by the ANU College of Business and Economics
The award is available each year to a prospective ANU student who:
is an Australian citizen;
is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) descent;
identifies as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person;
is accepted as such by the community in which they live, or formerly lived;
has completed an undergraduate degree; and
has received an offer for admission to a postgraduate coursework program offered by the ANU College of Business and Economics.
The award will cover 100% of the tuition fees for the standard full time duration of the program in which the scholar is enrolled in (up to 120 units) plus a $7500 once-off grant payable in first semester of study.
How to apply
There is no separate application as students applying through UAC are automatically considered based on them meeting the eligibility criteria or conditions prescribed under the eligibility section.
A recipient of this award may enrol on a full-time (18 - 24 units) or part-time basis (minimum 6 units).
Recipients are expected to maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60% each semester (with the average being calculated across all courses taken in a particular semester or session/s overlapping that semester).
Students who are in a sponsored program are not eligible for this scholarship.
The scholarship will be offered in Semester 1 only.
