How to apply

 
  • Submit your application through our online application portal.
  • You can only apply for a single program, so check our programs and courses catalogue to choose the best degree for you.
  • To be considered you for an offer, you must meet the prerequisite and cognate requirements for your preferred program, as well as the English language requirements.
  • Your application will be ranked against other candidates applying for the same program. Learn more about the ANU assessment process.

  • You can apply at any time throughout the year.
  • Most applications submitted before the 15th day of each month will be considered for an offer on the 1st day of the following month.
  • You can change your degree preference between the 9th and 15th day of each month with the exception of December, when you will need to change it between the 15th and 22nd day.
  • You will have two months to accept your offer from ANU.

Programs with alternative dates 

Master of Business Administration (MBA) and MBA Advanced degree

There are only two opportunities to receive an offer for the MBA and MBA Advanced degree. Applications made outside of these dates will not be considered for study in 2022.

  • Apply between 10 March and 30 June 2021
  • Offers are released on 1 August 2021
  • Acceptance deadline is 1 September 2021
  • Apply between 30 June and 1 November 2021
  • Offers are released on 1 December 2021
  • Acceptance deadline is 5 January 2022

Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) (Science)

There is only one opportunity to receive an offer or the Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) (Science) degree.

  • Apply between 10 March and 15 November 2021
  • Offers are released on 1 December 2021
  • Acceptance deadline is 25 January 2022

ANU Crawford School of Public Policy

There are limited offer rounds for the ANU Crawford School of Public Policy.

  • Apply before 15 October 2021
  • Offers are released every month with the final offer round on 1 November 2021
  • Acceptance deadline is 1 January 2022

Master of Clinical Psychology and Master of Professional Psychology

There is only one opportunity to receive an offer to receive an offer for the Master of Clinical Psychology and the Master of Professional Psychology degree.

  • Apply between 10 March and 30 September 2021
  • Offers are released on 1 December 2021
  • Acceptance deadline is 25 January 2022

Some non-standard ANU programs have additional application requirements, including the one-year honours programs for undergraduate coursework and the vertical programs of the College of Science and the College of Health and Medicine.

  • Submit your application through the StudyLink portal.  
  • We will assess your application and send out offers within four weeks of submission.

How to apply

 

You can apply to study at ANU through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). Find a full list of ANU courses and application deadlines on the UAC website.

ANU participates in UAC rounds throughout the year in September, October, November, December and January (round 1). We release offers on a rolling basis.

Early bird applications are now open until midnight 30 September 2021.

As an international student in Australia, you will need overseas health cover for the duration of your stay.

7. Apply for campus accommodation

View your options for living on-campus if you will be under 18 at the start of the semester. Your visa will require you to prove that you have organised acceptable living arrangements.
