Making access to scholarships simple
Your Admissions, Scholarships and Accommodation application allows you to apply for more than 40 unique scholarships, and over 200 total scholarships in total, in a single application.
When you apply you will tell us about yourself and your requirements so we can explore the scholarships on offer and match any financial benefits directly to your needs.
During your application you will be asked if you'd like to apply for:
- Only scholarships with automatic consideration. These scholarships are assessed based on the information you have provided throughout your application to ANU such as your preferred program selection, study options (for applicants preferencing a flexible double degree), disadvantages, and your selection rank/ATAR. A list of the scholarships with automatic consideration can be seen here; or,
- All eligible scholarships. These scholarships are assessed based on the same information used to assess scholarships with automatic consideration in addition to your responses to four supplementary questions. Choosing this option will also require you to submit the name and contact details of at least one referee. Referees should be able to comment on your academic history and/or be able to comment on your co-curricular or service activities. If you choose to apply for all eligible scholarships, you will also be considered for all scholarships with automatic consideration. A listing of the scholarships that require you to complete the supplementary questions, can be seen here.
The majority of scholarships available through direct domestic applications have been assessed and offered on a conditional basis. However, there are some that will not be offered at this time as they will be assessed based on your final ATAR or, in the case of music scholarships, once the audition process is completed.
The following scholarships will be offered to eligible applicants at the time their ATAR has been released:
*These scholarships also require completion of auditions before offers can be made.
If you are eligible and competitive for one of the above scholarships, you can expect to receive a successful outcome when you receive your final offer for admission and accommodation to ANU.
Start your Tuckwell application
The ANU Tuckwell Scholarship Program is the most transformational undergraduate scholarship in Australia.
Each year, 25 Year 12 students are awarded generous scholarships. The recipients become part of a community of Tuckwell Scholars at ANU who can take advantage of a range of exclusive academic, social, cultural, sporting and leadership opportunities.
You can start your Tuckwell Scholarship submission during your application. The Tuckwell Scholarship deadline is much earlier than for your ANU application, so make sure you check timetable and eligibility requirement information.
Students making an Admission, Scholarships and Accommodation application no longer need to apply separately for scholarships.
