Applying to ANU

 

You can apply to study at ANU through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). Applications take 4–6 weeks to assess for majority programs. Exceptions to the standard application procedure are listed in the table below.

You can list up to six preferences on your application. It is important to remember to list them in order of preference, as you may only receive one offer from ANU. This offer will be for your highest eligible preference.

If you are in your final year of your bachelor's degree, you can apply for postgraduate study for next semester or next year now.

Offers are released on a rolling basis. You can access your offers and correspondence by logging into your UAC account.

Exceptions to the standard application procedure

Application tips

 

Take these steps before starting your application.

1. Check our program requirements

We offer a range of degrees across a variety of disciplines. Find the ANU program for you and check its requirements.

2. Confirm your eligibility

You need to already hold, or be about to complete, a bachelor degree to apply for postgraduate study. Some programs also require a certain academic average, shown as an overall Grade Point Average (GPA) out 7.0. All students, whether domestic or international, must meet the minimum English language requirements for admission.

3. Prepare your transcripts or other documents

You may be asked to provide transcripts or other documentation as part of your application. Learn more about documentation requirements on the UAC website.
