Step 1: Check your eligibility
Before you can apply for a postgraduate coursework degree, you need to already hold or be about to complete a Bachelor Degree. Some programs also require you to demonstrate a certain academic average, shown as an overall Grade Point Average (GPA) out 7.0.
All students, whether domestic or international, must meet the minimum English language requirements for admission.
Your first step is to check the program requirements via the Programs & Courses website.

Step 2: Apply
You will need to submit your application through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
Applications generally take between 4-6 weeks to assess.
You can list up to six preferences on your application, however in some cases you may only receive one offer. This offer will be to the highest ANU preference that you list, as long as you’re eligible. So when you submit your application, remember to list your programs in the order in which you would like to receive an offer.
Already completed your Bachelor Degree?
If you graduated from an Australian university, UAC will be able to access your results in most cases. However, you may be asked to provide transcripts or other documentation, so it is a good idea to prepare your records just in case.
Still completing your Bachelor Degree?
You can still apply before you complete your Bachelor Degree if you are in your final year, and you must advise UAC in your application. You may need to provide a copy of your academic transcript directly to UAC as soon as you complete your degree. UAC will provide instructions during the application process.

Step 3: Receive an offer
All offers are made through UAC and are released on a rolling basis. You can access your offers and correspondence by logging into your UAC account.
UAC will send you an email to let you know if you need to check for offers and correspondence. It is important that you provide an email address that you check regularly and you can easily access.
Applications that are made direct to the University are assessed on an ongoing basis and applicants are notified about the outcome as soon as possible. Applications generally take between 4-6 weeks to assess.
