Ursula Hall Main Wing

Summer accommodation

Ursula Hall has been specialising in student accommodation since 1968.  We are located in a quiet corner of the Australian National University campus and are within walking distance of the University's many facilities and the bustling city centre. Situated next to Sullivan's Creek, the Hall boasts a scenic view and is surrounded by attractive native flora and fauna.

Ursula Hall provides accommodation for students enrolled in Summer programs at the ANU as well as groups visiting Canberra during the ANU academic Summer break (December to January). We endeavour to provide a high standard of service and comfort to all of our guests.

We offer two styles of accommodation. Standard dorm style with shared toilet/shower facilities and ensuite rooms that have double beds, a separate sitting room and private toilet and shower facilities. All linen & towels are provided and high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the Hall.

Being a catered hall, we specialise in flexible accommodation and meal packages designed to suit guests needs, at affordable prices. Special catering for Morning/Afternoon Tea can also be arranged through our catering team.

Ursula Hall is also a perfect place for your conference or school group to explore Canberra. From our location it is only a short walk to the edge of Lake Burley Griffin and only a bike ride away to the major museums and attractions in the parliamentary zone.

Our multimedia and entertainment facilities allow for guests to stay in and relax.

Australian Science Innovations has been staying at Ursula Hall for our Olympiad summer school program for three years now.  We are a large group of 90+ students and 40 staff. All staff at Ursula are incredibly friendly and professional and every interaction is a pleasure. They are always happy to go the extra mile to facilitate any requests where possible. The ability to have all meals onsite is a bonus and the quality and variety of the food in the dining hall is great. Our students never go hungry! They are continually making building improvements which make our stay even more comfortable. Even though we are only there for a few weeks at a time, our students get a feel for university life and the great sense of community that Ursula Hall creates. We look forward to many more years staying at Ursies!
