Things that you need to consider

How we allocate rooms

We consider all accommodation applications equally. We will make offers on an ongoing basis until we have placed all guaranteed students in a room. We will then offer the remaining rooms to non-guaranteed applicants.

We will do our best to make you an offer of a room from your preferred residence, but we are unable to guarantee it./p>

As we will only make you one accommodation offer, we recommend you accept it. You can apply to move to another residence during the academic year, when we run inter-resident transfers, although we are unable to guarantee you will get a transfer.

Direct & domestic applicants (Year 12 school-leavers, guaranteed)

If you selected the accommodation option in your ANU application in May, and you have already accepted the accommodation offer and paid your $300 deposit, you should have already received an offer of a room.

The next step for you is to sign your accommodation contract and pay the acceptance fees.  You will be sent information about how to do this after you have confirmed your offer in the ANU application portal.

If you no longer want to live on campus (e.g., you will not be attending ANU or you no longer require a room in a student residence), you need to decline the accommodation offer in the application portal.

Once you have declined your offer, we will refund your $300 deposit after 31 January 2021.

UAC domestic school-leaver applicants (guaranteed) **

If you have applied or are applying to study at ANU through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC), you have until Friday 20 December at 12am (midnight) to apply for campus accommodation under the accommodation guarantee.
