Postgraduate International - Accept

All offers are sent by email, so it is important that you provide an active email address that you check frequently. If you applied using an authorised Education Agent, your agent will receive your offer.

Acceptance Deadlines

First Semester 2019

Acceptances for students currently outside Australia (offshore) are now closed. 

If you have an offer for First Semester 2019, you needed to accept your offer by Sunday 2 December 2018 (AEDT GMT +11) to guarantee your place. If you have not yet accepted your offer, you are not guaranteed a place but there may still be a small number of places available so please accept your offer as normal. You will be informed by email once all places are filled. 

If you are a current ANU or ANU College student, the deadline for accepting your offer is indicated on your offer letter. This deadline may be given as a timeframe (e.g. within two weeks) or a specified date (e.g. 15 January 2019).

If you are expecting to receive a scholarship to support your studies after your acceptance deadline and you are unsure if you can pay your tuition fee deposit by this deadline without the scholarship, please contact ANU Admissions.

Second Semester 2019 

The deadline for accepting offers for a guaranteed place is provided in the table below. If this deadline has passed, you are not guaranteed a place but there may still be a small number of places available so please accept your offer as normal. You will be informed by email once all places are filled.

How to accept

Step 1
Check conditions

Before you accept, check your offer letter to make sure you meet any remaining conditions. Please contact ANU Admissions if you have any questions about the conditions of your offer.

Step 2
Complete your acceptance form

Please complete the Acceptance & Payment Advice form attached to your offer letter, and email the completed form to acceptance@anu.edu.au

Alternatively, you can send a copy of your Acceptance & Payment Advice form to the mailing address indicated on your offer letter. Please be aware that this must be received by the acceptance deadline.

Step 3
Pay your deposit

Please ensure you submit your tuition fee deposit when you accept your offer. ANU recommends for deposits to be paid via Western Union. 

Western Union

The ANU Western Union payment portal supports bank transfers and Union Pay with debit and credit cards. Please make sure to include your ANU Student ID so that we can identify the transaction.  

Bank draft / cheque

You may pay directly to ANU using a bank draft/cheque. 

Drafts/cheques must be in Australian Dollars (AUD) and payable to The Australian National University, then delivered in person to ANU Student Central or sent by post or courier to:

The cheque or bank draft must include your full name and ANU Student ID number written on the back (reverse) so that it can be identified on arrival. 

We recommend using express post, and tracking/registered mail, to ensure your payment arrives swiftly and securely.
