Respectful Relationships Student Ambassador Program

If you're a current student and are passionate about creating change at ANU and building healthy relationships in our community, so that we are all able to safely live, learn, work and play, consider applying to be a Respectful Relationships Student Ambassador.

Role of a Respectful Relationships Student Ambassador

As a Respectful Relationships Student Ambassador, you'll raise awareness within your community about the support services available in relation to sexual assault and sexual harassment, as well as empowering your peers to be active and effective bystanders.

You'll be part of a team committed to leading change and making a difference at ANU, and receive valuable training coordinated by the Respectful Relationships Unit.

During your time in the program, you'll be required to run at least two MATE Bystander Program sessions and two community engagement initiatives.

You may also be asked to participate in marketing and other related promotional activities, like providing a profile or testimonial for website promotion and social media engagement.

Benefits of being a Respectful Relationships Student Ambassador

As a Respectful Relationships Student Ambassador, you'll participate in the ANU+ program. ANU+ is the University's volunteer program which formally recognises what students achieve through volunteering. ANU+ has its own set of requirements, including that participants have to volunteer with at least two organisations.

How to join

We run recruitment rounds for this program in August/September each year. Please contact Ellen Stay, Community Engagement Officer, Respectful Relationships Unit at ellen.stay@anu.edu.au if you would like more information.
