Your Graduation day

All students invited to confer in December 2021 will receive a 'Graduand Information Guide'. Please pay particular attention to the information within to ensure you are ready to graduate.

If you are attending a graduation ceremony in February 2022, please read the following information carefully.

 

COVID-19 Restrictions

The February 2022 graduation ceremonies will be delivered in accordance with COVID-19 health and safety precautions. Your safety remains our priority.

 

Venue information

February 2022 graduation ceremonies will be held at Llewellyn Hall (School of Music Building #100, Childers Street, The Australian National University, ACTON ACT 2601).

Ceremony Duration

Each ceremony runs for approximately 90 minutes at Llewellyn Hall, and is followed by a celebratory reception of approximately 45 minutes.

 

Upon arrival

From two hours prior, and no later than one hour before the commencement of your ceremony:

  • Register your attendance and pick up YOUR ticket for the ceremony (you must sit in your allocated seat); 
  • Collect your pre-arranged regalia.

Thirty minutes before the ceremony:

  • An address will be made to graduands by the Deputy Marshall with instructions for the ceremony;
  • You will make your way to your allocated seat, no later than 15 minutes prior to the advertised commencement time in Llewellyn Hall.

 

Guests of graduands

All guest tickets will be sent electronically to graduands prior to the date of the ceremony. 

Venue doors open for guests approximately 30 minutes before the ceremony start time. 

Guests should be seated no later than 15 minutes prior to the ceremony start time.

No flash photography is allowed during graduation ceremonies.

 

After your ceremony

Directly following the ceremony, a celebratory reception will be held. New graduates may take this time to celebrate with friends, family and their peers. 

The following services will be available subsequent to the reception:

  • Reed Graduations - photography, flowers, plush toys and regalia return;
  • Jackson Framing Services;
  • ANU Alumni;
  • ANU Student Central - If you have pre-ordered printed academic transcripts and Australian Higher Education Graduation Statements (AHEGS) they will be available for collection following your ceremony.
