Applications for this year’s international University Awards (UA) now close on the 16th of June, 2014. What are the UA? They’re an international program recognizing high quality academic writing and visual arts by undergraduate students. ANU became a member this year, joining many other institutions around the globe. Students whose work wins or is highly commended in one of the categories are invited to attend the UA Global Summit in Dublin, Republic of Ireland later this year. The Global Summit is a three day conference attended by students and industry leaders that addresses issues of global significance. Winners of the awards have their work published in the UA international multidisciplinary journal of undergraduate research and their travel and registration costs are covered by the organisation.
How do you apply? It couldn’t be easier!
All ANU undergraduate students in their final two years of study, or students who graduated from an ANU undergraduate degree in 2013, are eligible to submit work for consideration. The piece of work you submit must have been previously graded by ANU (2013 or 2014) and have received a minimum grade of 2.1 or higher (about 70% or greater). The word count varies from discipline to discipline, but is above 1750 words. Work is submitted using a simple online form. More information about the submission process and the UA program.
