Did you know that there are more than 1600 species of native bees in Australia which vary in size from 2mm to 24mm and can be orange, red, green or blue?
You're invited to support the native bee population on the ANU campus by helping to build a 'bee hotel' which provides nests for native bees! ANU is partnering with Bush Blitz to repurpose heritage furniture from around the ANU campus into 12 bee hotels to support the biodiversity of the gardens at ANU and provide an opportunity to learn more about native bees.
The bee hotels and associated interpretative signage will be installed around our campus following the workshop. This workshop includes all materials and instructions, and will include a short presentation by a native bee expert.
Please note that this workshop is strictly limited to 25 students, and registrations are essential!
