Referencing your work properly is of great importance. Join us and learn why, when and how to reference properly! We will go through different referencing styles, practical tips on producing citations and various tools that can make our referencing journeys a lot easier.
Week 4: Unpack your assessment tasks
Getting started can often be the hardest part of any assessment task. We all know: a good start is half the battle. Join us and find out techniques, tips and ideas about unpacking assessment tasks! And you can start your assignment prep!
Week 5: Create a line of argument
Having a clear argument is essential to writing assignments, but is unfortunately where we often get lost. Join us to learn what an argument is and what to include in academic writing to create a strong line of argument! We will also evaluate some authentic examples.
Week 6: Write a paragraph with sources from your readings

Week 7: Structure your essay
Not sure how to structure an essay properly? Join us and learn essay structure. We will also have an opportunity to compare our own work against the recommended essay structure and identify areas for improvement!
Week 8: Structure your Business report
Never written a Business report before? Not sure how to structure it? Join us and learn how to structure your report properly, clearly and coherently!
Week 9: Structure your Science report
New to lab work? Struggling with writing a Science report? Join us and find out how to properly structure a Science report. We will use a Science report template and examine authentic samples!
Week 10: Develop your evaluative stance and textual cohesion
Want to learn more about academic language in use? Join us to learn about language patterns, including ways to make our positions salient, evaluate arguments from sources and improve textual cohesion and flow.
Week 11: Academic presentations
Academic presentations are a chance to show your confidence, command of the content and, for some, to step out of your comfort zone. Join us and find out how to deliver a memorable academic presentation and have fun at the same time. We will go through various techniques, tips and ideas about academic presentations.
Week 12: Editing your assignments
Editing assignments seems to be a long and daunting process. But with a proper process and adequate procedures, it can greatly improve your assignments. Join us and find out useful strategies for editing assignments and developing our own proofreading skills!
