Update from the Chief Operating Officer - our pathway towards a COVID–normal campus life
|
Dear students,
As you are no doubt aware, ACT COVID restrictions start to ease on Friday. Some people have asked what this means for ANU. The short answer is not much, other than some changes to life in residences.
The Vice-Chancellor has already said that ANU will largely stay with working and studying remotely for 2021.
From 29 October, some core activities that can’t be undertaken remotely (like some library services) may return to campus, but the preference remains for remote study and work wherever possible for the rest of 2021.
What we’re all working towards
Our main goal is to get ready for the start of semester one 2022, so that COVID-normal campus life delivers the best possible student and staff experience next year.
We’ll get to this point in a staged way based on careful planning and sound policy development.
What’s next
Before the end of the year, we will update you on how campus life will look and how it will include as many of our international and interstate students in-person as possible.
Stay tuned and good luck with your assignments and exams.
Paul
