Share your ANU experience to win $50 and a free professional photo

14 November 2014

Graduating from ANU is a huge achievement and a life-changing experience. If you’re graduating this year, we want to hear your stories.

In 150 words or less, tell us about your ANU experience. Students with the most interesting and engaging responses will be interviewed and some stories may even be pitched to local media.

Those chosen will also receive a $50 prepaid shopping card and a professional photo that could be used on your LinkedIn profile or other social media pages.

Your story may also be used on the ANU website to let prospective students know what an  ANU experience is all about.

Below are some ideas to get you thinking about your ANU journey.

Enrolling in ANU.

Did you travel a long-way to get here? Are you a student who considered no other University but ANU? Did you overcome adversity to get a place at ANU? Are you the first person in your family to attend a university or are you from a long line of ANU graduates?

Your time on campus.

Are there particular ANU services or centres which helped you achieve? What subjects or lecturers stand out? Did you change degrees to something you had never expected to study? What challenges did you overcome to succeed in your studies? Did you live on campus and have a particularly interesting experience?

Your extra-curricular experiences.

Were you involved in a club or society? Did you work an interesting job whilst studying? Have you discovered a passion you never knew existed before? Did you meet your current partner while studying?

Your plans for the future.

Have you made friends you hope to work with in the future? Will you be staying in Canberra or moving elsewhere for work? What has a degree from ANU enabled you to do in the future?

Or anything else that makes you an interesting and unique ANU graduate.

150 words is not very much, so make the words count. The questions above are only a guide, so no need to include them all, just the things that you think are most interesting.

Send your entries to ANU Media – media@anu.edu.au. Entries close 28 November.
