How you can donate to bushfire appeals

3 January 2020

The bushfires sweeping across Australia are having a major impact on people, animals and our environment.

If you are keen to help those affected, as well as the firefighters on the frontline, here are a few ways you can support those in need.

NSW Rural Fire Service

You can donate to your local Rural Fire Service by contacting your local brigade directly or heading here.

You can also donate to the families of the three volunteer firefighters who have been killed while protecting local communities from the blazes. You can find more information here.

Red Cross

The Australian Red Cross is supporting communities affected by the fires.

Specialist emergency volunteers are providing psychological first aid, working at evacuation centre and helping people connect with family, friends and loved ones.

You can donate to the Red Cross disaster relief and recovery appeal here.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army has emergency teams responding to the bushfires around Australia.

You can support this work by donating here.

WIRES and Animal Rescue Collective

WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service) is accepting donations to help their efforts in supporting displaced and injured wildlife affected by the NSW fires.

You can donate to WIRES here.

The Animal Rescue Collective is also organising a major national effort to save animals displaced or affected by the fires.

You can donate to them here.
