The ANU Respectful Relationships Unit is looking for students who are keen to become ambassadors for the 2020 academic year.
Throughout the year, Student Ambassadors will deliver education sessions on bystander empowerment, and design and lead at least two community engagement initiatives aimed at further promoting a safe and respectful community environment.
Student Ambassadors must also attend several mandatory training sessions, to be held in October 2019, as preparation.
Manager of the Respectful Relationships Unit, Sue Webeck, says her team will support and guide student ambassadors through the induction and community engagement process.
"This is a great opportunity for students who are passionate about creating and leading positive change at ANU in proactive ways as well as supporting respectful relationships on campus," Sue says.
This volunteer experience will be recognised by ANU+, ANU's volunteer program. ANU+ requires participants to complete at least two volunteer experiences, plus training, to be awarded a certificate on completion. Students with questions on the program should contact the team's Community Engagement Officer, Ellen Stay at email@example.com. Applications close Sunday 8 September 2019.
