The 2018 Australian National University Crawford Leadership Forum is underway bringing together business, government and academic leaders from around Australia and the world.
The event opened on Sunday night with a panel discussion on where next for the US, China and Korea, moderated by Chancellor Gareth Evans AC.
The forum includes a packed two-day agenda of thought-provoking discussions and lectures on the major topics facing Australia and the region by the world's leading academic, business and government representatives.
In its fifth year, the Crawford Leadership Forum continues to be the premier platform for public policy and debate.
Some highlights of this year's forum include:
- Growth, jobs and wages with NAB Chairman Ken Henry AC, Business Council of Australia Chief Executive Jennifer Westacott and Department of Industry, Innovation and Science Secretary Heather Smith.
- Winning the energy trifecta with Business Council of Australia President Grant King, General Electric Renewable Energy President Yves Rannou and Energy Security Board Chair Kerry Schott.
- A changing role for the US in Asia with Distinguished Fellow Carnegie Endowment for Peace Jessica Matthews and Director Emeritus on China-American Defense Relations Yao Yunzhu.
The 2018 JG Crawford Oration will be delivered by the father of the Internet, Vint Cerf, Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist for Google on Tuesday 26 June 2018.
