Beijing exhibition opens at Centre on China in the World

The University's newest art gallery opened on Friday night with an exhibition of evocative black and white panoramas of Beijing by celebrated New York photographer Lois Conner.

The exhibition, Beijing: Unfurling the Landscape, was opened by Gael Newton, the National Gallery of Australia's Senior Curator of Australian and International Photography. It was preceded by an illustrated lecture by the artist and launch of a new collaborative book by Lois Conner and CIW Director Professor Geremie Barme, Beijing: Contemporary and Imperial.

Beijing: Unfurling the Landscape will run until the end of July in the Gallery at the Australian Centre for China in the World, Fellows Lane. The Gallery is open weekdays 9am - 5pm.
