The Cyber Institute General Fund

Priority area:
The Cyber Institute aims to transform cyber for the betterment of humanity. The Cyber Institute General Fund provides general support for the most pressing priorities of the Institute.

The Cyber Institute is a strategic initiative of ANU, delivered in partnership with the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) and the National Security College. The Cyber Institute brings a new approach to the challenges presented by cyber and cyber security to people, communities, industries and governments.

The challenges presented by cyber in the modern world require more than technology skills. Non-technologists need to appreciate how the technology affects their work, and how it may change the world in the future. The Cyber Institute offers a different way of learning, which includes upskilling leaders to take on the challenges of the new world.

Research at the Institute focusses on the problems at the intersection of the social and technological, between citizens and governments, and where ideas and systems interact. The aim is to build a new system of knowledge to describe and shape the nature of the cyber world. That means thinking long-term while understanding practice, behaviours and consequence in the here and now.

Your gift to the Cyber Institute will enable more advanced cyber security and transform cyber for the betterment of humanity.
