On May the fourth, staff from ANU Alumni Relations & Philanthropy (AR&P) came to a tearoom far, far away to celebrate Star Wars Day.
Dressed in their finest Star Wars regalia, staff donated money to Force for Change, with all funds raised going to UNICEF Kid Power and the Starlight Children's Foundation.
Bradley Henry, Advancement Information Services Officer, purchased his Storm Trooper costume especially for the occasion.
"I think I'll be able to wear it again at pop culture events, and I guess I can wear it every Friday for mufti day as well."
Such threats aside, event organiser Thanuri Welaratne was thrilled that the philanthropic force awakened.
"I was so happy at the enthusiasm my colleagues showed for the afternoon tea. It was a great way to fundraise for some important causes."
UNICEF Kid Power involves kids raising funds to make a positive difference to global problems like starvation, while the Starlight Children's Foundation assists hospitalised children and their families.
