Indonesian culture event

Presented by ANU College of Asia & the Pacific

Get set for a taste of true Indonesia with this potpourri of Indonesian culture, which encompasses a screening of the popular Indonesian movie, Di Balik '98 (Behind '98). Released in 2015, this blockbuster narrates the events surrounding the Indonesian riot of 1998, which resulted in the fall of the Suharto presidency. The story is told through the lens of a group student also participated as a protester during the riots.

Beyond the screening too, guests can enjoy a traditional musical performance, an engaging quiz, and students narrating stories about their motivations and experiences of learning Indonesian.
