Film screening 'Surviving Earth'

Presented by ANU College of Health & Medicine

Humanity is artifically sustaining 7+ billion people with industrial scale everything on one-use-only fossil fuels that have reached peak. Yet we need to leave what's left in the ground to avert catastrophic climate change.

Surviving Earth is based around a radio interview with the director Peter Charles Downey. Peter, in turn, interviews the likes of the late Professor Tony McMichael, Professor Tim Flannery, Professor Ian Lowe, Professor Ian Dunlop, Professor Paul Ehrlich and Bindi Irwin, as well as Uncle Bob Randall, David Holmgren and others.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion with Professor Lowe, Dr Stephen Bygrave, Julian Cribb, Dr Peter Tait, Holmgren and Downey. The MC is Jenny Goldie.
