The ANU Humanitarian Innovation Society (ANU HISoc) is partnering with the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) and IBM to bring an inter-collegiate virtual hackathon looking at innovative ways to defend communities against a pandemic.
Over the course of a weekend, experts from academia, nonprofits, government, and tech sectors will deliver a series of webinars and mentor sessions to break down the problem under three main tracks:
1. Strengthening healthcare systems in developing countries
2. Creating faster and more efficient resource allocation systems
3. Innovating better technology to prevent or minimise infection
All webinars will be live-streamed and remain accessible anytime afterwards on our YouTube channel.
From these webinars, design your own solutions in teams, build a business model to take it to market and pitch your ideas to a panel of judges the weekend after!
Opening date: 27 June
Closing date: 1 August
