ANU Energy Update 2022: From Energy Crisis to Net-Zero

Will the current energy crisis accelerate transitions to renewable energy?

Join us for this year's ANU Energy Update to discuss this question, and to hear about recent developments in energy research and analysis in 2022.

Hosted in-person at The Australian National University and online, this annual event brings together energy researchers, policymakers, industry and the public. This year, we'll focus on decarbonisation of industry and electricity, decentralised energy, and the energy transition in the region.

Program: 

2-2.15pm - Opening remarks 

2.15-3.15pm - Update on energy developments and decarbonisation trajectories

Updates on energy and decarbonisation trends globally and in Australia, national electricity market developments, and the safeguard mechanism for emissions reductions in industry.
